Court tells KKD to reappear January 8

Veteran broadcaster and entertainment icon Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) has been remanded in prison custody over a charge of rape brought against him by the police. He was remanded by the Kaneshie District Magistrates' Court to reappear on January 8, 2015.

KKD, as he is popularly called, is alleged to have raped a 19-year-old lady in the washroom of a hotel in Accra. Starr FM's Kafui Dey who was in the court tweeted: '#KKD denied bail, will reappear in court on January 8. . He further added: ' KKD still in court. Looks crestfallen....#KKD out of the dock. He looks bemused. His lawyer just went by."
