This endorsement was announced by a representative of the Electoral Commission (EC) at the party’s national delegates’ congress at the Trade Fair Center in Accra.
In her address after the announcement, the NDP flagbearer said: “Ghana is a great country but the people are being suffocated with weak and bad governance.”
She admonished Ghanaians to join hands with her in order to “lift our country so we can confront all the negativity.”
She later formed the NDP in the lead up to the 2012 general elections but she was unable to contest in the polls.
