Liverpool sign Senegalese striker

Sadio Mane has completed his £30million move to Liverpool from Southampton.

The forward travelled up to Merseyside on Monday to undergo a medical and thrash out personal terms with chief executive Ian Ayre.

Those formalities went through without a hitch and Mane penned a five-year contract with the Reds and will wear the No 19 shirt.

Jurgen Klopp has driven the capture of the 24-year-old after it became clear Mario Gotze was unobtainable this summer.

Mane becomes the club’s third most expensive signing of all time, behind Andy Carroll and Christian Benteke.
