Ghanaian footballer released from prison after he was convicted for murdering mum and sister in Italy

Report says although Solomon has been freed, he has  been declared 'socially dangerous'.

The Ghanaian footballer Solomon Nyantakyi who was jailed in Italy for murdering his mother and sister has been released from prison in Parma.

Report from Ghanasoccernet.com says although Solomon has been freed, he has  been declared 'socially dangerous.

His release was granted after medical examinations proved that he was mentally unstable.

Solomon has now been transferred to Rems (a home for the rehabilitation mentally challenged people under tight security) in the town of Mezzani.

Following the medical examination conducted by psychologist Dr. Roberto Ariatti who was chosen by the prosecutors, he is expected to be cured an reinstated into the society.

In June 2017, the former Parma player Solomon Nyantakyi confessed to the murder of his mother and 11-year-old sister.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian footballer admitted to the crime after being stopped by police at Milan train station, having fled his home upon killing his mother Nfum Patience, 43, and sister, Magdalene Nyantakyi on Tuesday night.

According to The Sun, his brother, Raymond Nyantakyi, discovered their bodies stabbed to death after returning home from work.
