So we will be able to put little hearts on the eyes of kittens, a grinning smiley on the heads of friends...

But this new function does not stop there.

In addition to adding stickers, Twitter allow users to find out how others have customized the same photo and 'proffer' their pictures for edit and post to participate in discussions or news trend.

This strangely reminds of Canv.as, a project run by  the founder of 4chan. This image servicing, shut down in 2014 after a lacklustre performance, allowed users not to only share pictures but also the "remix" as they liked to facilitate the spread of memes .

It is not known where Twitter will retrieve the pictures from or how it will choose those that it offers users. One method could be to classify images according stickers associated with it. Thus, if a user overlays a picture with a heart sticker, the site could offer him other pictures have been published with the same heart.
