In a Facebook video by Dr Bawumia, he said it was ‘very difficult to talk about Kwabena Boadu in the past tense. Because it’s a situation that I’m still trying to come to terms with”, he confessed.

Dr Bawumia went on to describe the late Kwabena Boadu as ‘a clolleague,, a friend, a confidante and a younger brother” in the five years the pair worked together.
Kwabena Boadu died on November 24, 2016, 11 days to the December elections which the New Patriotic Party won emphatically. He was found in the bath of a hotel room in Wa, Upper West and it is believed he had been electrocuted.

His funeral is set for February 4, 2017 at the forecourt of the State House.
