Samuel Opoku Nti has been named as an unofficial member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Youth and Sports Committee.
Opoku Nti who was the General Manager of Kotoko from 2013 to 2016 has vast practical knowledge in football administration, hence has been co-opted onto the committee to help the development of sports in the second largest city in Ghana, Kumasi.
Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi, who is a sportsman is bent on revamping sports in Kumasi and has therefore invited some sports luminaries in the Garden City to help him accomplish his ambition.
Aside Opoku Nti, other notable names who have been appointed onto the Youth and Sports Committee include Bright Kankam Boadu, a broadcast journalist with Nhyira FM in Kumasi, Asamoah Dankwa, Kumasi Metro Sports Officer and Pastor Vincent Asamoah, National Director, Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Nti, a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee and a member of the Starlets Committee will be providing technical expertise to help the KMA unearth football talents.
