The 73-year-old veteran actress said her love affair with David Dontoh, 55, happened when she was in her early forties. According to her, they were so much in love and were all over the place with people talking about them.
However the celebrity couple never settled down together. Maame Dokono speaking during an interview on Okay FM, mentioned that it was because she had six children and was not ready to have more with David.

She said “At a time we fell in love. We thought we could marry but at that time I had given birth to all my six children and I told him I was not going to have children again. He was also a young man who needed his freedom to marry and I gave him his freedom to go and marry”.
