His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, conferred the esteemed Youth in Entertainment Award upon celebrated musician Kofi Kinaata during a special ceremony at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Renowned for his thought-provoking lyrics and socially conscious music, Kofi Kinaata has distinguished himself as an influential artist whose work inspires positive societal change. His compositions, often addressing pressing national issues, have cemented his reputation as a compelling voice for the people.
The Asantehene had previously praised Kinaata’s artistry, notably citing his hit song ‘Susuka’ as a composition “full of wisdom” during the 2024 Ghana Bar Association General Conference.

This royal recognition comes on the eve of the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, where Kinaata has earned multiple nominations, including Best Highlife Artiste of the Year, Best Highlife Song of the Year, Best Music Video of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album/EP of the Year.
The Otumfuo Millennium Excellence Awards, an initiative of the Manhyia Palace, honours individuals whose contributions significantly advance national development across various sectors.
The awards particularly recognise those whose work uplifts marginalised communities, including the underprivileged, widows, and orphans.
