17-yr-old boy arrested for raping 9-yr-old sister

A 17-year-old boy in Sri Lanka, has been arrested for defiling his nine-year-old sister when his parents went out of the house, reports Lanka Hot News.

According to the online platform, the Grade 4 student had returned from school and was in the care of her father as her mother, who had recently returned from abroad, had gone out for work.

When the father stepped out to do some work, her elder brother allegedly pounced on her and raped her. The incident was known when the girl informed her mother about her ordeal. The woman filed a police complaint and hospitalised her daughter for treatment.

The boy was arrested and handed over to the juvenile police who say the boy will be kept in custody pending investigations to save him from being molested by residents.
