Footballers always get injured while on the field of play and thought to be safe outside of it.

But not Argentine Under-17 player Thomas Conechny.

Thomas Conechny, an Argentina Under-17 player suffered a life threatening injury as he was playing against his mate on FIFA while on holiday ahead of the World Cup.

While playing the video game, Thomas Conechny accidentally fell out of the hotel window, dropping 10 foot to the floor.

He twisted both of his ankles and suffered heavy brusing.

According to UK Metro, the player was lucky to be alive after the accident.

"I was laying tables in the restaurant when I saw this body hit the ground outside," hotel worker Fabian Puente said according to UK Metro.

"I was completely shocked. It’s lucky he was on the first floor and not a higher one otherwise he could have died."

Thomas Conechny has been treated and will likely miss the Uner-17 World Cup.
