A 41-year-old man from Arizona, USA, James Koryor, has been arrested and charged for manslaughter and child abuse, after he left his two-year-old son, Alpha, to roast to death in a hot car when he was drunk, the New York Daily News.
The police say Koryor was terribly high and had forgotten that his young son was in the car when he drunkenly went inside his house to sleep.
The report say that Koryor had stopped at a liquor store and bought a bottle of gin when he was supposed to be taking his two sons, five years and two years respectively, to get a haircut.
After drinking the bottle, Koryor drove home to sleep it off, but forgot the kids in the hot car. While the five year old boy managed to escape as evidenced by the damage inside the car after the boy was found, the two-year-old was left inside the car and he suffocated to death.
Investigators say the boy’s mother was inside the home studying, but was unaware that her children had been left unattended in the car. She tragically found the toddler’s body in the vehicle around 4 pm when she was about to leave for class.
A very sober Koryor has confessed to drinking heavily, Phoenix Police Sergeant, Trent Crump said.
