Nigerian working with the U.N arrested for robbery

It is reported that all crimes were done whiles on a lunch break, and the scene was a stone throw from the UN headquarters.

A Nigerian believed to be working with the United Nations headquarters was on Monday arrested for robbing four banks over a two-month span.

According to the New York Post, the accused Abdullahi Shuaibu, 53, was charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.

Mr. Shuaibu allegedly committed the first robbery on February 27 when he walked into a Santander Bank and demanded that the teller hand him cash, threatening to shoot if the employee did not comply.

Subsequently, he had failed in an attempt to rob a Bank of America but became successful later in the month when he robbed a separate Santander Bank location.

Mr Shuaibu is reported to have walked into an HSBC bank on Monday, where he handed a note to the teller demanding money.

When the teller tried questioning him, he told her he had a gun and gestured to his hand in his jacket pocket.

A retired police officer working at the UN made Mr Shuaibu out from a surveillance photo previously released by the New York Police Department. Luck run out on him and was arrested after returning to work that afternoon.
