Security officer subjects man to punishment for crossing express road

The Lagos State government has persistently announced that crossing the expressways, especially where pedestrian bridges have been provided, is an offence punishable under the law but what is not certain is if they have mandated its security personnel to mete out instant justice to offenders.

In this candid photo sent in by a reader, this young man was caught trying to make a dash across the expressway somewhere along the Ikorodu Expressway and was caught by a stern looking 'officer' and he was subjected to several rounds of punishment including 'frog jumping', till he could barely walk.
