Woman Finds Burglar Under Her Bed Whiles Looking For Her Cat

A Florida woman looking for her cats found a burglar hiding under her bed, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Palm Springs police arrested Christian Vatovec after a 61-year-old woman found him in her home Tuesday. The woman reached under the bed, hoping to find her cats but “felt she had touched human skin,” an officer wrote in the arrest report.

That’s when the 25-year-old robber bolted from the home. He jumped the fence, but police found him lurking by a nearby canal.

The woman — who later identified Vatovec as the cat burglar — said a gold bracelet and a camera were pilfered from her house.

Vatovec was booked on burglary, grand theft and resisting arrest charges. He is being held in lieu of $53,000 bail.
