Our determination paid off in Medeama's win

Hearts of Oak inspirational skipper

The Phobians prior to the crunchy game had not won against Medeama at the T&A Park in Tarkwa as their best have been a draw.

Medeama went into the game from the backdrop of their opening 2-1 Premier League loss to Ashanti Gold and the book makers tipped the Mauve and Yellows to run over the Phobians.

But the Accra giants had their strategy worked perfectly as they held Medeama in the first half and in the second half they tamed the reigning FA Cup champions as strikes from Cosmos Dauda and Eric Kumi ended their Tarkwa’s hoodoo.

With 2-0 massive away win against Medeama, the club’s skipper who was voted man of the match opined that their determination prior to the game paid off.

“We were determined to win the game, we know they are a good side and they were playing at home too but we knew with the kind of determination in camp we will beat them,” Gnagne told Pulse.com.gh

“Per the record we have not won against them in Tarkwa, so we psyched ourselves very well because we want to make history and at the end of the game we made it . Our tactics worked perfectly, we are not going to be complacent, we are taking match after match because the season has just started,” he added,

The Phobians are currently at the second position with six points in two games and their next game is against struggling Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium.
