Staunch Kotoko fan by name Seidu has threatened CK Akonnor to qualify Kotoko for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup if he wants to keep his job as coach of the club.
CK Akonnor’s job as coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has come under intense criticism following uninspiring performances against Kariobangi Sharks, despite winning 2-1 and a draw against AshGold.
It is reported that the management of Kotoko have threatened security at the club’s training grounds to curtail unrest that would arise from agitated fans
Seidu is infamous for leading a group of agitated fans of the Kumasi giants to sack former coach Zdravko Lugarisic from training grounds last two years
"We love kotoko and Kotoko has many fans across the world so we can’t allow anyone to destroy it," he told Happy FM.
"CK Akunnor is lucky we won that game in Kumasi else what would have happened won’t be nice. Nobody understands CK Akunnor’s tactics. Always playing one upfront," he added.
"CK Akunnor came to met good players. The players he brought can’t play any good football."
Seidu is believed to be influenced by some leaders of the club but he vehemently denied such reports stating he is a "man of his own.
"No big man is behind or pushing me. I’ve a mind of my own and I can think for myself," he stated.
"Yesterday I held a meeting with some yesterday and we will continue today .I didn’t sign any bond at any police station."
"CK Akunnor should go and score 5 or 6 and come then we’ll have a meeting with himIf CK Akunnor is going then all the new management members should go with him. What have I done for police to arrest me ? I did nothing wrong."
