Defending Stanley Cup champions the Chicago Blackhawks pulled the trigger on two trades, acquiring forwards Tomas Fleischmann and Dale Weise and defenseman Christian Ehrhoff in two separate deals on Friday.

The Blackhawks sent forward Phillip Danault and a 2018 second-round pick to the Montreal Canadiens for the forwards.

Earlier, Chicago dealt Rob Scuderi to the Los Angeles Kings for Ehrhoff.

Fleischmann (10 goals and 10 assists) and Weise (14 goals and 12 assists) are both veterans with a combined 69 play-off games between them.

Ehrhoff has appeared in 73 Stanley Cup play-off games, although the 33-year-old German was demoted to the AHL earlier this month.

Scuderi, 37, won the Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2012 and the Penguins in 2009.

On Thursday, the Blackhawks acquired Andrew Ladd from the Winnipeg Jets for highly regarded prospect Marko Dano and draft picks.

The deal also included Jay Harrison and Matt Fraser going from Winnipeg to Chicago.
