World number one Novak Djokovic continued his dominance over Roger Federer on the major stage, winning their delayed US Open final in four sets.

Djokovic emerged a 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4 victor over second seed Federer, winning the final that was delayed by over three hours due to rain in New York.

The Serbian's tally now reads 10 major titles, joining Bill Tilden in a tie for seventh on the all-time list - and by doing so, he continued his dominance of Federer on the big stage.
Djokovic has won seven of his past nine grand-slam meetings with Federer, beating the Swiss in a major final for the third time in 15 months.
