Basically, it is a pay-on-demand app for roadside assistance services. Some describe it as the Uber for tow trucks.
The app has already started gaining popularity, as it was added to the AT&T Driveplatform for connected cars.
Users of the Urgent.ly app, just need to request for assistance when they get stranded on the road, and a tow truck shows up, using the tracking system on the app, to help them out.
Other services included in the app, the vehicle lockout service, dead battery jump, fuel service and flat tire fix etc.

The app is free to download from the Android and iOS app stores respectively.
