However, not every procedure she performs requires something quite so drastic. In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Lee punches a cyst open, and its every bit as satisfying as watching her pry a free from a womans deltoid.

In the video, Dr. Lee uses a small plastic tool to punch a hole into the small cyst. According to a comment from the doctor on her Instagram post, the procedure is actually called a punch biopsy and is used when cysts are smaller and dont call for an incision. Clearly, Dr. Pimple Popper has a strong right hook. She punches and twists the tool into the growth until a bit of drainage begins to emerge.

At first the cysts contents are quite thin and runny, and she explains to the patient that the drainage has combined with the numbing fluid giving it a less viscous texture. However, just a few seconds later, the contents become thick and cheese-like, with the doctor squeezing multiple times to be sure it has emptied.
