An emotional Vin Disel announced April 14, 2017 as the release date for the first 'Fast and Furious' movie without Paul Walker. Also the eight movie in franchise.

Disel mede the announcement at CinemaCon, the gathering of the nation's theater owners. He also revealed that the last time he was at the exhibition, he was with the late Walker.

"I swear to you and I swear to my brother upstairs we're going to make the best movie you've ever seen," Diesel said.
