Vivien Leigh's outfit from movie sold for $137,000

An outfit worn by Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 Academy Award-winning film 'Gone With the Wind' has fetched $137,000 from an auction.

According to Heritage Auctions, The gray two-piece ensemble, was sold at an auction in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday.

The outfit worn by the actress was the most sought after item among 150 items of movie offered by collector James Tumblin,who originally bought the outfit for $20 from a costume shop.

Ms Leigh won an Oscar for her portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 movie.
