After battling with colon cancer, The co-creator of 'The Simpsons', Sam Simon, has died.

The iconic filmmaker and nine-time Emmy winner passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 7, 2015 after battling with colon cancer for three years.
The 59-year-old Sam developed the landmark animated series 'The Simpsons' along side Matt Groening and James L. Brooks.
Sam retained his executive producer title after his exit from show.
Sam was also a philanthropist whose foundation feeds more than 400 hungry families a day in Los Angeles.
