Real Madrid are after Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea with reports suggesting that the 24-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has agreed a deal to join the La Liga giants.

It is a nostalgic scenario for Manchester United fans who have seen Real Madrid come for their best players in the past.

David Beckham

David Beckham started the recent trend of players moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid when he sign for the Spanish giants in 2003.

Beckham started his football career and was part of the famous Class of '92 that went n to achieve unprecedented success with Manchester United.

After a fallout with Sir Alex Fergussion, Beckham made the big move to Real Madrid in 2003 in £25million deal.

Ruud van Nistelrooy

Ruud van Nistekrooy was the star of the Manchester United team that won the English Premier League 2003.

He moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2001 and established himself as the club's first choice striker.

His goals helped Manchester United to the 2003 Premier League title and the FA Cup the following year.

Real Madrid came calling and it was time to move to Spain in the summer of 2006.

Gabriel Heinze

Gabrial Heinze  was signed from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2004, and was a success at back-back and center back. Manchester United's Player of the Year at the end of the season.

After two more season and having lost his place to Patrice Evra, the Argentine made the move to Real Madrid in 2007.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United signed Cristiano Ronaldo from his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon in the 2003 from where he developed to become one of the best footballers of all time.
