Honeywell’s chief pilot, Joe Duval says Pilots will now be able to focus on weather and really make some sense of it for safety and forecasting, especially in a situation where you have a longer flights.
Initially Pilots used to get text based weather readings. This app created by Honeywell will be a game changer, as it collects data from various weather monitoring sources from all over the world.
The data collected is then distributed to Honeywell’s data centres, to be pushed out to the Pilots.
The app is a subscription based service.
