According to our source, the new hotel project will comprise of the 200 bedrooms SunSquare hotel and another 300-bedroom for the StayEasy hotel.
According to Tsogo Sun CEO Marcel von Aulock“…The continued development and rejuvenation of Cape Town’s city centre will lead to growing demand for hotel accommodation.”
Tsogo Sun is one of South-Africa's biggest hotel groups, with investments spanning throughout Africa, Seychelles and the middle east.
The construction of the hotel complex will begin next month, on the site where the former Tulip hotel stood.
Our source says the proposed complex will have banqueting and conference facilities, a space for Tsogo Sun’s signature dining offering‚-Vigour & Verve; space for retail stores and an underground parking bay.
The hotel will be open to customers by September 2017.
