Cyber-attack on North Korea failed

North Korea’s isolated network of communication systems might have saved them this time around.

News reaching Pulse Tech from Engadget reveals that the US recently launched a failed Stuxnet attack on North Korea.

Security experts say the same attack was launched successfully on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

According to Reuters, Intelligence sources say “Stuxnet's developers produced a related virus that would be activated when it encountered Korean-language settings on an infected machine.”

Speaking on the potency of the virus, Olli Heinonen, Senior fellow at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and former deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said 'Stuxnet can deal with both of them. But you still need to get it in.'
