Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has unveiled a 24-player squad for Ghana’s highly anticipated international friendly against England’s Lionesses. The squad features a strong mix of experience and rising talent as the team prepares for a crucial competitive year.

Defender Anasthesia Achiaa makes a return to the national team setup, adding depth and stability to the backline. Meanwhile, Benedictè Simon of Servette Geneve FC earns her first-ever call-up, marking an exciting milestone in her career.

Ghana will take on the Lionesses on December 2, 2025, at St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, UK. The match will be historic, representing the first-ever senior women’s international meeting between Ghana and England.

Beyond its symbolic importance, the fixture provides a valuable test for the Black Queens as they continue preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled for March 2026.

Their only recent setback came in a narrow defeat to Brazil.Ghana also approach the fixture with confidence after securing 4 victories in their last 5 matches. The Black Queens’ sole loss in that period was against Morocco.
