Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah, Senegalese winger Sadio Mane and Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang were nominated for the 2017 African Player of the Year.
The nominees’ announcement ceremony was held at the Movenpick Ambassodor Hotel with special guest including CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, GFA President and 1st CAF Vice President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Minister of Youth and Sport Isaac Asiamah, AITEO Vice President Victor Okoronkwo and former Black Stars defender Samuel Kuffuor.
