Aaron Finch fractures bone in foot
Australia batsman Aaron Finch has fractured a bone in his right foot and will return to his native country for treatment, ending his season with Yorkshire.
The explosive right-hander fractured the fifth metatarsal in his foot during Friday's Twenty20 Blast win over Durham Jets at Headingley.
Finch, Australia's T20 captain, is returning to Melbourne to see a specialist, but his campaign is over.
It adds to an unlucky run of injuries, including tearing his hamstring in the Indian Premier League earlier this year.
"That's the end of the season for Aaron, as far as Yorkshire is concerned," said Yorkshire director of cricket Martyn Moxon said.
"Scans have revealed that he has fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He will now see a specialist in Melbourne.
"It is a great disappointment for Aaron and the club and we wish him a speedy recovery."
Yorkshire are hoping to extend Glenn Maxwell's stay to cover for the loss of Finch.
They also announced New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson will join for the final four games of the County Championship.
