David Price tossed seven scoreless innings to help the Toronto Blue Jays to a crucial 4-2 win over the New York Yankees in MLB.
The Yankees had no chance while Price was dealing, the left-hander striking out seven and only giving up two hits en route to his 17th win of the season.

The Pittsburgh Pirates continued their chase with a 9-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies, but they sit in the wildcard spots.

The East-leading New York Mets shut out the Atlanta Braves for a 4-0 win.
Elsewhere, there were wins for the Arizona Diamondbacks (8-4 over the Los Angeles Dodgers), Chicago White Sox (2-0 and 3-2 over the Detroit Tigers) and Boston Red Sox (8-7 over the Tampa Bay Rays).
