The move of Togolese and Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Aston Villa is set to collapse over his refusal to relocate to the midlands.

Adebayor has already agreed terms and passed his medicals ahead of his move to Aston Villa where he was to be reunited with former Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood.

The 31-year-old refusal to relocate from London to the Midlands looks to scupper the deal as Sherwood is not keen for him to be commuting everyday.

Villa considering other options with just 48 hours until the Premier League kick-off.

Sherwood according to reports is now focusing on getting a right-sided wideman with Tottenham’s  £5million rated Andros Townsend a target.

Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj is also on the radar although Sunderland are keen on a loan move, too
