The 18 players took home $5,400 in total while the chunk of the cash remains unaccounted for, according to the report.

The Ministry on Friday evening issued a statement saying the match was a result of diplomatic negotiation between Accra and Namibia.

The statement said Ghana was given $30,000 to play in the 'Dr Hage Geingob Cup 2018' in Windoek, Namibia last Saturday.

The host provided return tickets for the team, accommodation, local transport, meals and refreshment.

The statement did not state how much the 18 players and nine other officials took as per diem but Ghanasoccer net reports that each player received $300 while there is no clarity on how much the remaining $24,600 was disbursed.

On Saturday, the Black Stars B engaged the Brave Warriors of Namibia in a friendly encounter in honour of Namibia’s President, Hage Gottfried Geingob.

The local-based Stars however lost the match 4-1 on penalties after playing out 1-1 stalemate in regulation time.
