According to Palmer - who is the president of Tema Youth - the criticisms that have come the way of Nyantakyi have been harsh and unfair.

The GFA president has come under severe scrutiny from a section of the public, with many calling for his resignation after a disappointing outing by the Black Stars in the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Some high-profile names including ex-Black Stars captains Samuel Kuffour and Stephen Appiah have all called for a total overhaul at the Ghana Football Association.

However, Executive Commitee Member, Osei Palmer insists the GFA president has not done too bad, insisting he would be "highly disappointed" if Nyantekyi should resign.

“For me I will be highly disappointed in Kwesi Nyantakyi if he resigns because he has to be tough and be able to stand pressure," Palmer is quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet.com.

"We voted for him and we are comfortable with his job so far. So where from his pressure on the man to quit his job.

"Have you heard about Egypt and the other participating teams asking their respective Federation heads to resign after failing to win the Nations Cup?"
