Ghana will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee on March 6, 2017, having gained independence in 1957.

Kotoko’s official website reports that the match between the pair will be played “as part of activities marking Ghana’s 60th Independence Anniversary”.

The encounter – which will be played on March 5 at the Accra Sports Stadium – will serve as an appetizer to the main Independence Day ceremony to be held the following day, March 6.

Hearts of Oak have failed to beat Kotoko in the last three attempts, losing once and drawing twice.

And the Phobians will be looking forward to enact revenge on Kotoko, having lost last year’s Presidential Cup to the Porcupine Warriors.
