Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered a set back in his recovery from a fractured ankle according to his manager Arsene  Wenger.

The England international was set to return from an injury layoff after the international break but Wenger ahead of the league clash with Stoke City has revealed that Wilshere has not fully recovered.

"I have not seen Jack Wilshere in the last two or three days," Wenger said in a press conference.

"He is progressing slowly and I can’t tell you much more about it. I will talk with my medical staff today.

"It is slower than expected as I expected him to be back and available after the break but unfortunately he will not be available for Saturday.

"He had a little setback and I have to know about it but I can’t tell you much more as I have no medical information."

Wenger also confirmed that injured Danny Welbeck will be out till Christmas after he had surgery on jis injured knee injury.

Welbeck has been injured since last season and was working hard on a come back before intense workout aggravated  the injury.

In other Arsenal injury news, Wenger says defender Laurent Koscielny who had reportedly aggravated a back problem on international duty will be available to face Stoke City.
