Detroit Lions' Matthew Stafford fit for NFL week two

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford insisted he will be good to go to face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, despite hurting his arm last time out.

Stafford took a heavy hit to his right arm in the third quarter of the Lions' season-opening 33-28 NFL loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

The 27-year-old - who finished with 19-of-30 passes completed for 246 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions - was hit on the elbow by Melvin Ingram, but Stafford said he will be ready the trip to Minnesota.

"It was a tough one. He got me good. He got me right on the tricep/elbow area," Stafford told Fox 2 Detroit.

"But I'll be good to go. I was starting to feel better towards the end of the game."

Stafford - pick number one in the 2009 NFL draft - has made 67 consecutive starts for the Lions.
