Arsene Wenger hails striker

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed his former player Robin van Persie following the striker's move from Manchester United.

Wenger managed Van Persie from 2004 to 2012 before selling him to rivals, Manchester United.

The Arsenal manager while talking about undefined to Fenerbahce, says the striker was one of the best he managed.

"It was a big surprise," said Wenger.

"He is a loss for English football because he’s an exceptional player, one of best I’ve managed, with an exceptional technique.

"I don’t know what happened why he leaves but he’s a loss to the Premier League."
