City had not conceded a league goal for nine hours and have been on a winning streak of 11 league games dating back to April.

That didn't matter in the sixth minute when Moses fired from 20 yards to beat Joe Hart for West Ham's opener.

That wasn't in the script of City who were without captain Vincent Kompany and David Silva.

They were 2-0 down in the 31st minute to a Diafra Sakho goal.

Winston Reid's header from a corner hit Fernandinho's waist and Pedro Obiang hooked in a cross for Sakho to bundle in from close range.

Kevin De Bruyne reduced the deficit, shooting home after good work by Aleksandr Kolarov, Otamendi and Sergio Aguero.

City threw everything into the game, got chance after chance but could not find a leveler.
