Baba Rahman records League Cup win on return to Chelsea team

Abdul Baba Rahman played his second game in a Chelsea shirt on Wednesday in the English League Cup

Ghanaian player Abdul Baba Rahman returned to the Chelsea squad on Wednesday night in their English League Cup game away at Walsall.

The Black Stars full-back made his debut for the English Premier League Champions in the UEFA Champions League last week but was completely left out of the Chelsea squad that won 2-0 against Arsenal over the weekend in the Premier League.

According to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, Abdul Baba Rahman is not yet ready to play in the Premier League.

Baba Rahman recorded his second victory in two Chelsea games against the English League One club as the Stamford Bridge outfit qualified to the next round of the Capital One Cup with a 4-1 victory.

Kennedy restored Chelsea’s two-goal advantage in the second half before his replacement Pedro Rodriguez scored a fourth for the away side to give Chelsea a 4-1 victory on the night.

Abdul Baba Rahman played in the full duration of the game.
