The five African countries in the 2018 FIFA World Cup have been drawn in group A, B, D, G and H.

Group B which has Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Iran looks promising to produce the toughest competition an African country could have in Russia 2018.

Morocco who managed to top group F of the 1986 World Cup which had England, Poland and Portugal have another herculean task at hand to progress from a group which has Portugal rated world number three and Spain ranked number six in the world.

Argentina are paired with African giants Nigeria in group D in a rematch of the 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cups. The two other campaigners in the group are Croatia and Iceland.

Tunisia who are in group with Belgium, England and Panama will be sweating when they face the two European powerhouses.

Egypt should be able to qualify from group A, which has Russia, the host nation, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

The same implies to Senegal who have been drawn in a relatively weaker group like Egypt as compared to their three other African neighbours-Nigeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
