Kotoko’s opponent for the 80th anniversary game – Fudbalski Klub Jagodina has confirmed participation in the January 3, 2016 – friendly international match scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The Serbian club, our checks revealed, has started advertising the game on their website with barely a week to the clash. An artwork, designed by Pacific Football Ghana Limited, organisers of the game has been seen on FK Jagodina’s official webs;ite.
This gives more weight to the information given by the organisers that, they are doing everything to ensure, the game comes on as scheduled.
The organisers on Sunday announced that, a last minute hitch in their plans has called for a change of Kotoko’s opponent. The Porcupines were earlier expected to play Greece’s Veria FC after a similar arrangement with Petrolul of Romania fell through.
The announcement that, the Greek club will no longer be around for the match sent fans wondering if there wouldn’t be another change. But with the Serbian aside advertising the game on their official website, there is maximum assurance that, all things being equal, they will be in Ghana on New Year’s Day for the game on January 3.
