Replace Nana Addo and forget about voters register - David Percy to NPP

“If the NPP is going to make any headway, I will say to them that they should change their candidate and forget this nonsense about the register which is completely a red-herring”.

NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo

A leading member of the National Reform Party , David Percy, has advised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to forget about issues pertaining to the voters register and rather focus on replacing its presidential candidate if it wants to win the 2016 elections

The NPP have recently made allegations that Ghana’s current voters’ register is bloated with names of foreign nationals.

The party has since petitioned the EC with information available to them and are demanding a new register.

But speaking on Radio Gold, David Percy says the calls for a new voters register is baseless, since the only way the NPP might be successful is by changing their presidential candidate.

He further believed Nana-Addo's 'Rise and Build tour' is unnecessary as it does not portray the unity the party is seeking to achieve among its members.

"The foundation of the tour appears to be shaky. I don’t see how you can build when the foundation is unsure. At some level you can see it as an attempt to move the attention away from issues and to give the impression of purposefulness and unity but it does not exist” he stated.

Nana Addo has for some weeks now been to the Northern, Volta, Western, Central, Upper East and Upper West regions on his ‘Rise and Build Tour’. The aim of the Tour, the party believes is to preach on the need for unity in order to take over power in 2016 and fix the issues affecting the economy.
