Debutant Techiman City beat former Ghana Premier League champions

The debutant stunned the former Ghana Premier League champions at Techiman

Issaka Ibrahim fetched his side the only goal of the game in the closing minute of the game to bring a lot of smiles on the faces of the home fans who had missed top-flight football, since Holy Stars got relegated in 1986.

Berekum Chelsea although secured the services of Saddick Adams, former Black Starlets and Satellites striker, cashed on the likes of Kofi Owusu, who scored 19 goals to win the league’s top scorer, Baffour Asare, Bennett Ofori, Richard Osei Agyemang all very instrumental in the team's scheme of things last season.

Techiman City deserve a lot of plaudits, having stood firm despite their threatened relegation troubles for match fixing.

They were just cleared by the Appeals Committee on 19th February, 2016 to enter into the league with clear minds.
