Sam George has stabbed me in the back-ET Mensah

Sam George who is well known as the personal assistant to ET Mensah in time past has now come forward to challenge him in the parliamentary contest in the Ningo Prampram constituency.

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram ET Mensah has told Pulse.com.gh that Sam George has stabbed him in the back for wanting to contest him in the NDC primaries.

He said Sam George was a "nobody" until he met him (ET Mensah).

Sam George who is well known as the personal assistant of ET Mensah in time past has now come forward to challenge him in the parliamentary contest in the Ningo Prampram constituency.

"If Samuel George hadn't come to me, walked to me that i should be his godfather, I gave him a job, I got him through to get civil service, he stayed around me, I don't want to go into all those things. He is fairly fairly fairly new to the constituency. If he hadn't come to me nobody knew him. There are so many young people that I have mentored as a youth organiser for twelve solid years, as a founder of Tein." ET Mensah said.

He argued that  Sam George has no right to seek the mandate of people he barely knows and has not served.

"The last branch elections that we held about two years ago he started the schemes and I knew, each step along the way people informed me.

"That he has been put on a branch when he was not even there to be the communication officer that was the closest that he has come, and then suddenly he stabbed me at the back that he is going to run against me."  The former Youth and Sports minister said.

The third person in the contest is Michael Tetteh who contested in the party's last primaries and lost.

"I don't want to talk about this boy and Michael Tetteh as well. These are all boys who walked to me that they wanted me to be their father and I took them in.

Mr. ET Mensah said the opposition from the two people he was once very close to does not bother him.

"When you do that to me I shake it off and move on." He said.

He has been the Member of Parliament since 1996. He is now seeking for the sixth and final mandate.
