Yakubu was confirmed dead at age 35 last Tuesday at the Tema Government Hospital after battling with illness.
”Abubakar‘s death has been a shock to many of us. He was a very good college and we all shared the same platform on which we chat,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

”We were actually informed about his ailment and planned of a visit but unfortunately he passed out.

The ex-Ajax player made 16 appearances for Ghana from 2002 to 2006. He is expected to be buried today in Tema.
