M.O Bejaia arrive in Ghana for Medeama clash

The Algerian outfit arrived in Ghana on Monday ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup game against the Ghana FA Cup champions

The remaining Ghanaian side in Africa Inter Club competitions, Medeama SC will host M.O Bejaia on Wednesday at the Essipong Sports Stadium.

The Algerian giants arrived in Accra, the capital city of Ghana at 11:00am with a 27-man contingent on Monday and were transported to Takoradi at 6:20pm.

The technical team of M.O Bejaia insisted on training on a field closer to their hotel room after arriving despite darkness approaching.

Bejaia will train on Tuesday at the Essipong Sports Stadium, the host venue in accordance with the regulations of the Confederations of African Football (CAF).

The visitors are in Ghana for the second time this year: they lost their first leg CAF Champions League game at Obuasi against the Ghana league champions Ashgold 0-1, but overturned the results with a 3-1 victory in Algeria to progress to the first round of the competition.

Medeama lost their opening group game against T.P Mazembe in Lubumbashi last two weeks, whereas M.O Bejaia beat Yanga of Tanzania at home.
