The mother of the 14-year-old girl who was gang-raped by 4 men in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region has threatened to invoke curses on the suspects as well as anyone who denies her daughter justice.
In an interview with Accra-based Atikna FM, the mother of the victim whose name was given as Maa Gifty said she has given the police a one-week ultimatum to act swiftly or face her wrath.
“I am giving them a one -week ultimatum, I will invoke curses on anyone who tries to make my daughter's rape case a foolish one.”

Four persons have allegedly defiled a 14-year-old pupil of the Asemda Primary School in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
The victim, whose name has been withheld, drank a non-alcoholic beverage suspected to have been laced with a sedative, after which she was defiled by some 4 men.
When the victim woke up the following morning she saw blood stains on her dress and was in severe pain. She then reported her ordeal to her mother’s friend since her mother was out of town.
They did not report the matter to the police until the victim’s mother returned from her trip on Monday.
He added that the four suspects are currently at large.

Sexual abuse incidents have been in the news lately.
Five persons are currently standing trial for allegedly assaulting an 18-year old girl at Bantama in the Ashanti Region.
A Lebanese national is also standing trial for reportedly raping his Ghanaian househelp at his residence in Accra
Rabih Haddad was recently granted bail by an Accra High Court to the tune of five hundred thousand cedis (GHc500,000) with two sureties to be justified.
