How we believe Stonebwoy could be lying about his stabbed wife

So, when the news that Stonebwoy was getting married broke, Ghana’s internet broke along with it. The doctor angle provided a sweet twist to the tale especially for the petty ones who could only shade a certain Dancehall King.

Stonebwoy defied the usual odds of people thinking for a musician, who had used so many video vixens showing their body on camera, marrying a doctor was kind of unacceptable. But hey, who set those rules?

The fact that the two-time BET Awards nominee stood his ground against all odds (including a very specific odd from an ex) proved to everyone Stonebwoy loved Dr Louisa (Ansong) Satekla. And Ghanaians loved their love story too.

Well, until a statement from the Ghanaian musician’s management team following his ‘Ashaiman To The World’ Concert on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

For a show that was supposed to tell a lost love found between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, it turned out otherwise as a more serious news of Stonebwoy’s wife being stabbed made the headlines.

The initial report of Stonebwoy’s wife getting stab wounds and being rushed to the hospital was confirmed on the musicians Facebook page:

Now hold up!

How in the world would you leave your stabbed wife to climb a stage to perform? And ow, as the confirmation post said, Stonebwoy was the target meaning his security was still at risk when he climbed the stage to perform.

For the record, we saw how Stonebwoy reacted a fan imitated his style of walking on stage some months ago. That is in no way validating that fan’s abysmal behaviour but that should tell you Stonebwoy does not take such things as joke.

So why now, when his better half’s life and his were actually threatened?

The second part of the message sent a different message. Stonebwoy sounded more interested in a record broken and a history made than his interest what had happened to his wife.

Granted, a lot of these celebrities have other people handling their social media but unless the incident was actually being blown out of proportion than what it really was, whoever validated that message before it went out did more harm than good.

Later happening would come to prove this.

The Tema Divisional Police has confirmed that no official complaint was made by Stonebwoy’s team concerning the attack on Louisa.

Confirming to Radio Univers, ACP Joseph Benefo Darkwah told Abrantepa his team was still waiting for an official report from the dancehall musician and his team.

The management team of Stonebwoy got the message and did respond. But the response has created more doubts than answering the questions that have been raised so far.

The Public Relations Officer at Zylofone Media, Stonebwoy’s management team, on Monday said on Hitz FM’s Day Break Hitz with KMJ said:

“The safety of the lady is really important and we needed to take care of her first. If we report to the police, what will be the reason behind it? Is it to arrest the culprit or to sound a caution?" Sammy Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex said.

“We did not record it as attempted murder. Even as an artiste your fans out of the love they have for you can hurt you.”

Like seriously?

First of all, neither Stonebwoy nor any member of his team can actually define what ‘attempted murder’ is. It is the job of the Ghana Police Service. That is why the incident should have been reported.

Then again, unless the entire story about Stonebwoy’s wife being stabbed is fabricated.

Second, asking ‘Is it to arrest the culprit or to sound a caution?’ is just out of the world of reasonable thoughts. No offence.

It is for the Ghana Police Service to start their investigations.

It is for the Ghana Police Service to sound a warning to the other hooligans who plan to invade the next musical tour.

It is for the good of a civilized society where perpetrators are fished out and punished.

So Stonebwoy’s team just shot themselves in their own foot with the follow-ups since announcing the love of their artiste’s life was threatened.

But then again, this industry has seen so many publicity stunts just to get the attention and make the news. This could be one of those.

There is no logical explanation that Stonebwoy left his stabbed wife and performed with a sound mind on stage to please fans when his life had been threatened.

As it stands there are so many holes in that story that makes it really difficult to believe. Everything can change with the team reporting to the police and releasing a medical report as Dr Louisa Satekla has been reportedly discharged.

For now, things ain’t right!
